The 54th State Chess Championship, held at Calcutta Girl’s School, saw on Thursday Sayantan Das defeating Shrutarshi Roy in a hotly contested match to make it 4 in a row in the competition. Along with Sayantan, there are 8 other players who are currently in the leaderboard- NeelashSaha, Aronyok Ghosh, RupankarNath, Abhishek Sarkar, AnjanMallick, Soham Das, Anurag Jaiswal and Dyutimoy Mukherjee, all tied at 4 points each. Second seed MitrabhaGuha was held to a draw by Anustoop Biswas.Both the players now have 3.5 points apiece.
