The Telangana Government has planned to establish 60 residential schools for children belonging to minority community. 30 schools will admit girls and 30 will admit boys. These English medium schools will be commencing from June and will admit students to Classes V-VII. These schools will add a class every year up to class XII and will provide free residential education to children of minority communities. The schools will be managed by the department of school education with the funds provided by the department of minority welfare. These schools will be functioning in rented buildings until the government constructs new buildings.
