Music, Dance, Drama, Ode to Nature and a Trip around the World. Students of various city schools celebrated their annual concerts in their own style.

  • Calcutta Boys’ School: The Chapel Hall at Calcutta Boys’ School came alive with the sound of music as the students organised their school annual concert, Crescendo. With West Asia as its theme, Crescendo turned its spotlight on belly dancers, a piano prodigy, and fashionistas on the ramp and budding actors who took the stage by storm. The School Principal and the Secretary welcomed the audience and promised to take them on a magical carpet ride. The event commenced with an energetic performance by the school choir. This was followed by an Arabian Dance by the primary school boys and a fashion show.
  • Sushila Birla Girls’ School: Music, Dance and Drama stole the show at the annual kindergarten concert of Sushila Birla Girls’ School. Let’s Picnic, a musical show, involved 113 little performers who enthralled the audience with their sweet little voices, graceful dance moves and ability to skate and spin the hula hoop.
  • Apeejay Schools: Students of Apeejay Schools, Park Street and Salt Lake, paid tribute to Swami Vivekananda and his ideals with a dance drama, Swami Vivekananda-Youth, Vision and Empowerment. The annual concert and prize day for the academic year 2014-15 celebrated the students’ performances in both scholastic and non-scholastic categories.
  • The Heritage School: Repertoire 2015, the annual concert of The Heritage School, enthralled one and all with a melange of performances. The highlight of the event was the recitation in Hindi and Bengali. William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream was another attraction. The concert ended with a dhunuchi nach.
  • Thomas’ Girls’ School: St. Thomas’ Girls’ School celebrated life in all its glory at Euphony, the annual concert.
