Students of Pramila Memorial Institute celebrated its annual function and prize distribution ceremony in the Science City Auditorium. The programme commenced with a Ganesh Vandana. The chief guest of the event was actor Soumitra Chatterjee. The founder of KPC Group of Companies was the special guest of honour. After the lamp-lighting ceremony, Principal Reshmi Mukherjee presented the school report. She also distributed prizes to the toppers and winners. Tagore House bagged the prize for the highest scoring house. The annul school magazine Rostrum was also released. A dance drama, Green-the Hue of Life, highlighted the student’s efforts to save greenery was also presented. The school choir performed Tagore’s Amar sonar bangla, Kotobaro bhebechinu and Ebar tor mora gange baan eshechhe. The school also celebrated its 50th anniversary of Sound of Music with the play, Miracle of Symphony. Class XII student Julie Sharma bagged the Pramila Smriti Prize for 2015-16 and Rohit Chakraborty was felicitated for securing the top position in ICSE 2013 and ISC 2015.
