As a part of the Reliance Energy’s Young Energy Savers (YES) initiative, more than 1700 kids along with their parents participated in the Run to Save Runathon held recently in the city. A five kilometre race, flagged off by actor Tabu, was the finale event by the brand to mark the National Energy Conservation Day.The initiative believes in spreading the message of energy conservation in a playful, interactive and interesting manner, and has divided its annual programme in three phases -School Awareness, Theatre Workshop and Run To Save Runathon.
This year, the Theatre finale, which is an interschool drama competition, had teams from 25 schools, and the kids delivered some amazing acts on energy conservation.
