Education Minister Vinod Tawde said that the State department of Information Technology (IT) is examining the technical aspects of a proposal to introduce biometric attendance systems in schools. The machine will be detecting the thumb impression of the students and attendance will be conducted according to that. But two issues are still being looked after: will the machines work properly and will they be cost-effective.
