The 15th BRC Students Rowing Championship, 2016 which is recognized by Rowing Federation of India will be held on 8th May-15th May, 2016.
The practice sessions of rowers are making rounds. To keep the lake clean and to do their bit for environment, the team released 1, 50,000 fish into the water recently.
“Keeping the lake clean helps us in our rowing movements. This is also a way of doing something for the lake,” said Sharmana Saha, Class XI, and Modern High School for girls.
Kumkum Manral, physical education teacher, La Martiniere for Girls, said, “Releasing fish into the lake helps it in many ways. The girls are getting to learn so much about nature. Such initiatives are welcome”, she added.
