After announcing the much awaited CBSE Class XII Result 2016 on Saturday, The Board declared that along with the hard copy of the mark sheets, the students of class XII will receive a digital certificate too from this year onwards. The digital mark sheets will be made available in “DigiLocker” at http://www.digilocker.gov.in , as informed by K K Chaudhary, Controller of Examinations, CBSE.
The new proposal is passed keeping in mind the portability and trans-usability of the mark sheets to alleviate the otherwise somewhat difficult aspect of producing those documents during college admissions, visa clearance, etc. The DigiLocker account credentials will be sent to students via SMS on their mobile number registered with CBSE. Students can access their results through:
Results will be disseminated through Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS) as well. Also, for the first time, board results can be accessed on Android phones via the app `DigiResults’.
The total number of candidates writing the examination this year summed upto about 10,67,900 and the number of differently abled students writing the test was estimated at 1,921.
