A statistical quirk has spared the ISC council the hassle of rescheduling its political science exam which is to be held on 4th April, while CBSE has postponed three Class XII papers that sets to clash with the election dates. CISCE has said that the 4th April paper will be held as scheduled since none of the affiliated schools in the three districts going to the polls that day has political science in the curriculum. For CBSE, there was little option but to reschedule the sociology, Sanskrit core and Bengali papers for Class XII. The sociology exam that was to be held on 4th April has been postponed to 23rd April. The Sanskrit core and Bengali papers which was scheduled for 11th April has been shifted to 26th April.
