The CBSE Results 2016, for Class XII were declared today by the Central Board of Secondary Education. This is for the fourth consecutive year, that the topper is a Delhi student. A student of Montfort School in Ashok Vihar,Sukriti Gupta has scored 497 marks out of 500. The second position is gained by Palak Goel from Kurukshetra, Haryana, with 496 marks. The CBSE officials say that the pass percentage this year has increased by a marginal 1.05% compared to last year’s 82%.In terms of the pass percentage, girls (88.58%) performed better than boys (78.85%) this time. The no.of candidates that had applied this year were 14, 99,122. Of which, 44, 66, 41 were girls and 6, 21,259 boys. 83.05% is the overall pass percentage this year.
