The eighth edition of the Classmate Spell Bee has begun and this year seems promising to be even bigger than the last one. Powered by The Times of India, Spell Bee will cover around 800 schools in 30 cities across India. It will reach over 2.75 lakh students from Classes V to IX. Spell Bee is conducted at several levels. The school-level; spelling competition has already begun. Students are also allowed to take online tests. The top scorers will be competing in the city level.The best performers will then participate in semi-finals; the top 10 from each city will take an online test through which the best 16 will be picked. These kids will be eligible for grand finale and will also appear on TV. The national champion will win 2lakh and a trip to Washington DC along with parents to watch the Scripps National Spelling Bee in 2016.
