Commerce contributed to the sharpest increase in the success rate of students who had appeared for the HSC examination this year. Commerce students had done exceptionally well in the city and in the state. In Maharashtra, the pass percentage of Commerce students had risen by 6.2% to 87.8% from 81.6% last year. In Mumbai the success rate had gone up by 6.7% in Commerce. Along with science and humanities excelling in HSC this year, commerce has also shown great performance. In 2015, Mumbai has scored 86.2% in Commerce and 87.8% in Maharashtra.
