The first-ever competency tests for students from Classes II to VIII were held between August 24 and 31 across the state. The tests were common for all boards including CBSE, ICSE and International boards. The students were tested based on what they had learnt in the previous class. The papers were set and printed by the State Council of Education and Research Training.
