The BSS School on Wednesday hosted a big Culinary Workshop for the students who have a “taste in cooking”. The event was attended by the winner of the IIHM Young Chef London 2014 winner, Garima Poddar, who also happens to be an alumnus of the prestigious St. Xavier’s School. The students got to interact with her and learned a range of dishes from midnight snacks to soothing mocktails. She was seen preparing a yummy mouth watering Mango Cheesecake, followed by a cheesy Jacket Potato. Not only did the students enjoy the event, but the same is the case also with the champion chef Garima. She recalled her earliest cooking venture way back when she was in class III. She explained how she has grown as a chef thanks to the IIHM competition which according to her was just the platform that she needed. To get a better insight, Rishika Bhattacharya, class XII student and a nutrition enthusiast, informed how the workshop taught her to use simple ingredients to make such lavish sophisticated dishes. Thus, an inspired chef, willing to pass on her newly attained culinary skills to the next gen cook-heads, culminated in a grand and successful Wednesday Morning.
