Delhi government has introduced portal for online admission under EWS this year. Around 64000 applications has received 27000 seats in different private schools. The nursery admission process in Delhi had begun on 1st January 2016 and will be concluding on 31st March. Admissions to entry level classes in private schools under the EWS and Disadvantage Group categories were also scheduled to be carried out in the same schedule. The deadline for them has been extended. DoE has also issued a circular in this regard clarifying that the extension is only for the application date while the rest of the schedule will remain unaltered. The government has also fixed an upper-age limit for admission to entry-level classes with the maximum age for nursery being set at 4 years and 5 and 6 years for Pre-Primary and Class I respectively.
