Developing and implementing a child-tracking system, restricting girl students’ dropout rates to less than 5%, biometric attendance and digitization for government and aided schools are some of the Key Result Areas (KRA) set by the state education department. The state listed 12 KRA’s to be accomplished in a span of next two years. The KRAs were on instructions from the Chief Minister. This year the state plans to provide biometric attendance systems for all government school teachers and students to be implemented by 2016 depending upon the funds available.
