The Joyful Reading initiative by the Karadi Path Education Company for English proficiency was introduced in 90 government schools in Kancheepuram and Tiruvallur districts in the month of August. The initiative was supported by THE READ Alliance and Sarva Siksha Abhiyan and was launched at a function on the DPI campus. The scheme includes three learning activities to evoke interest among students. The classes will be held thrice a week during school hours.
