Amilya Periera had to quit her studies after completing Class X and head for an eight-hour job in a factory for survival. But her determination brought her back to school and after a year and a half she cleared her Higher Secondary exams with 71.4 per cent.
Her name might not feature in the top 10 or top 20 list, but she is a real time hero.
