Delhi Government took a decision to encourage people to promote sports by building several stadiums and sports complexes which will be open to the public. Directorate of Education has also planned to launch “Pay and Play Scheme” to promote sports. Under this scheme, anyone can visit the designated stadium sports complexes and play the sports available. The total number of such sports complexes will be now eight. These includes: Thyagaraj Stadium, Chhatrasal Stadium, East Vinod Nagar Sports Complex, Najafgarh Stadium, Pehladpur Sports Complex, Pooth Kalan Sports Complex and Rajiv Gandhi Stadium. Membership is available at the first two.
