The Karnataka State Primary School Teachers Association (KSPSTA) had urged the State government to allow them to admit children to LKG & UKG from the next academic year. At present, government schools do not offer admissions for these two classes. Making a request to chief minister Siddaramaiah during the inaugural ceremony of biennial national education summit, KSPSTA president Basavaraja Gurikar said that the government need not create new infrastructure to admit these children.
