Apsara Shaikh (40) is a waste picker but wants her son to take up a white collared job so that she can quit waste picking. Her hopes were successful as her son Ibrahim passed with 46%, a success for someone who spends most of his time working as a mechanic in a garage.
Ashwini Sable of Vitthalnagar in Pimpri Chinchwad is the granddaughter of a waste picker. She lost her parents and has only her grandmother and uncle to count on. Despite all odds, Ashwini secured 75% and aspires to become an IAS officer in her future.
