Thousands of students who will be appearing for the ICSE examination next year will have to confront lesser number of subjectsas the board is planning to merge three science papers into one and history and geography too. The Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) plans to club three science subjects (Physics, Chemistry and Geography) into a single science paper of 100 marks. Similarly, History, Civics and Geography will also be clubbed into one paper of 100 marks. Equal weightage of 33.33 will be given to each of the three components. English I & II, Second language, Mathematics and an application subject of 100 marks each will remain compulsory. Changes in question pattern may also take place keeping in mind the question pattern of entrance examinations.
