‘Identify an out-of-school student and get Rs. 500’ is a bottom line of a new scheme being contemplated by the state education department to identify the maximum number of out-of-school children. This survey will be conducted to ensure that none of the children are left out of school. The state Education Department has identified migration as the major issue for children dropping out of school. The government is under the process of identifying the spots from where a large number of students migrate. Information received so far, the government has spotted close to a thousand spots in the state.
