This was what Anand Kumar said after analyzing the marks of his 2016 batch of ‘Super 30’ for the recently declared IIT JEE Results 2016. Super 30 was started by Anand with former Bihar DGP Abhyanand over a decade ago. Later, Abhyanand dissociated himself from the institute.
The ‘Super 30’ saw this year several more ‘fairy-tales come true’ with Pushkar Kumar, Bipin Kumar, Basant Kumar and Ajit Kumar. Basant is a son of an illiterate marginal farmer in Gaya, Bihar. Ajit Kumar, is a son of a vegetable vendor, and he gave “Anand sir“ full credit for changing his life. “Anand Sir” is a big inspiration for all of them and motivated everyone and boosted their confidence, said an elated Anand. Pushkar Kumar, son of a private schoolteacher, said that his father earns Rs 8,000 a month that goes into his mother’s treatment. He wants to get a job to help his father economically . Bipin Kumar, said he almost dropped out after Class X as his family could not afford his education. Other successful candidates included sons of a daily-wage labourer and a security guard.
The success rate of this boarding-cum-coaching institute that takes only 30 students a year has always been high. It provides them with free tuition of the highest quality and has over the years transformed careers of such students single handedly. Let’s hope that ‘Super 30’ keeps up their grand work.
