The Inter School Competition 2016-The Keventer Cup, organized by the Debanjan Sen Foundation, on Saturday, saw yet another excellent performance by the St. James’ boys team who defeated Welland Gouldsmith team comprehensively, with a whooping 7-0 victory, with another hat-trick, yet again from the same team, only this time by Aniruddh Ghosh while two goals were scored by Kiyan Nassiri and a goal each by Zehran Mohsin and Andrew Gomes.
In another match, the defending champions, La Martiniere for Boys, lodged an easy win over GD Birla as they defeated the latter 6-1, thanks to the double whammy from Bevan Dennis. The other 4 scorers who got themselves on the scorecard with a goal each were Anmol Kapoor, Brinsley Murray, Sarmanya Bhiwaniwala and Arman Sood. Arif Sheikh from GD Birla was the lone scorer in the match from their side.
