An inter-school sports carnival was organised at DY Patil Sports Complex which witnessed participation from nearly 6,000 children from 300 schools from Greater Mumbai. The sporting event was conceptualised and managed by Sports For All (SFA) in collaboration with the DY Patil Group of Institutes. World-class sports facilities at the DY Patil Campus in Nerul made it possible for SFA to provide the right environment for enthusiastic children who participated in nine different Olympic sports such as Basketball, Handball, Volleyball, Swimming, Squash, Badminton, Tennis, Table Tennis and Judo.
Some of the schools that participated in the event included Dhirubhai Ambani School, Utpal Shanghvi Global School, DY Patil International School, Aditya Birla World Academy, Bombay Scottish and several others. All the sporting events were recorded, which made it possible to have a quick check in case of any issues. A database of promising talent has also been created. Several cultural programmes were also organised at the sports carnival.
