The JEE 2017-18 (The Joint Entrance Examination) , the national-level common entrance test for admission to engineering and pharmacy colleges in the academic year 2017-18, is made optional by the Gujarat Government. The state reintroduced Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GujCET), which will be mandatory for students aiming for admission in local engineering and pharmacy colleges as instructed by education minister Bhupendrasingh Chudasama.
