Question and marking pattern of Madhyamik examinations will be changing from 2017 to bring it on a par with central boards. The 10 mark oral exam will be replaced by an internal assessment and word limits will be set for every answers. Each paper will have 25% MCQ of 1 mark each, 15% short questions of 1 or 2 marks and 50% analytical questions of 3 to 5 marks. Only history will be having questions of 8 marks. The proposed changes by the syllabus revamp committee has been approved by the Madhyamik board.
