Civic school students will be getting better education facilities from the next academic session. Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) is coming up with a model school concept. Modern teaching facilities, limited number of students in a class and better education infrastructure will be developed in select schools.
The school board administration, in association with PMC, will make 17 municipal institutions `model schools’ on pilot basis. Of them, 15 will be Marathi medium schools and two Urdu schools.
The project will start from June 2016 and will aim at overall development of students through sports and other activities. The selection of the schools and teachers will be done before the project starts.
The teachers will have to work for seven hours.Each class will be having only 30 students.
