The Madhya Pradesh government had announced that Surya Namaskar will be introduced in the school curriculum and will be a part of school assembly every Saturday.
The Minister of state for school and higher education Deepak Joshi made the announcement while speaking to reporters during a Surya Namaskar programme at a school in Bhopal as part of National Youth Day celebrations to mark Swami Vivekananda’s birth anniversary. He said the government also wants private schools to follow the practice.
