The Jagadis Bose National Science Talent Search Examination 2016 invites applications for its scholarship test which is subdivided into two categories. The detailed break-up of the scholarship amount along with the eligibility criteria and other related details are given below:

| Junior Talent Search Test | Students who have passed 10th standard examination in 2016 with minimum 75% marks or equivalent CGPA (aggregate) and currently studying in class XI in Science Streams from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, Statistics, Computer Science in any school in WB | INR 500/month and a one time book grant of INR 1000.
Duration of the scholarship is 2 Years for class XI and XII |
| Senior Talent Search Test | Students who have passed 10+2 exams in 2016 and are aspiring to study Basic Sciences/ Medicine/ Engineering in West Bengal | INR 1000 and an annual book grant of 1000 INR. Duration is till the end of BE(4 years), MBBS(4 and a half years)/ MSC(5 years) |
NOTE: JBNSTS Scholars of Basic Sciences will be directly considered for the Scholarship of Higher Education (SHE) under the ‘INSPIRE’ Programme and shall be given a scholarship of 5000 INR per month plus a research grant of INR 20000 per annum. Application Fee for this is 200 INR only.
