The 46th two-day annual conference of night-school teachers in the city had teachers and their managements discussing a host of problems and looking for solutions.
From a concession in the electricity bill and better pay scales to regular teachers, the Maharashtra Night Schools Associations’ conference has a list of demands for the state government. Its members, who met at Abasaheb Atre Night School and Junior College, will now meet education minister Vinod Tawde next month to discuss their problems. Night schools have fewer students but they need a lot of attention and hence the workload is much higher.
