Nine-year old Roma Tandel of Mary Immaculate Girl’s High School (Borivili) set a new record in the U-10 long jump event of the Mumbai Schools Sports Association (MSSA) inter school athletics meet at University Pavilion, Marine Lines. Roma leapt 3.96 m to go past the previous of 3.86m set by Sharvari Parulekar of Udayachal School in 2011. This was the first time that Roma participated in the long jump event of the MSSA meet.
