All students were not allotted seats in the first merit list. They had to wait till the second merit list was declared. Though School Principals said that cut-off were likely to drop, there were no such drastic changes. Only 50888 out of 1.9 lakh applicants were allotted their first preference. Others had to wait for a better choice in the second list. There were no such drop in the cut-off percentage even in the second merit list.
