A day before RTE admissions close, less than 0.3% of 1200 seats allotted under RTE Act 2009 were converted into admissions. Only 35 admissions were confirmed in state board schools. The BMC, which conducts online admissions for the 25% seats in unaided non-minority schools, held the second round of lottery on 20th January and 1293 students were allotted seats.
