In keeping with its tradition of staging a musical every alternate year, Bethany High School staged ‘Pippin’ on December 10, 11 and 12. The cast of 180 students presented the Tony award-winning Broadway musical in signature Bethany style. The play is about a prince, Pippin, who wants to have his corner of the sky and goes through many ordeals in life. The play, with remarkable songs, vibrant dances and acrobatics, captivated the attention of young and old with its theme, robust dialogues and vibrant colours. The show featured live music and background scores.
It was full house on all three days. Principal Robert Khin acknowledged the sponsors, parents and team for making it a grand success. Director Akash Ryall said it was a challenge to move from the regular Disney Productions to a Broadway musical, but the entire team was confident about making it a success.
