The Prize Distribution Ceremony 2016 of the ST. Augustine’s Day School at Shyamnagar and Barrackpore, was held at Rabindra Bhavan, Shyamnagar and Sukanta Sadan, Barrackpore, respectively. The events main highlights are the swearing-in of the new prefectorial batch of the school and the prize distribution for academic excellence and co-scholastic feats of the past year. The event was comprised of many different colourful and vibrant cultural programmes.
The school principal, A.D Gomes said that for her, intelligence doesn’t imply academic excellence only. Pursuit of excellence should be in other fields as well. Same was reiterated by Jhuma Biswas, Head Mistress of Shyamnagar branch, that academic results alone are not a matter of bother to her. Holistic development is what the school is after. Toppers in ICSE 2016 and ISC 2016 from both schools were felicitated. The event turned out to be a grand success.
