South Corporation inaugurated its first toy library at one of its municipal schools in RK Puram area in collaboration with the Toy Association of India. School children can borrow puzzles and toys from the library for a few days. The library is an attempt to attract children to join schools. This initiative will also provide an opportunity to the students belonging to the lower sections of the society to play games and toys that their parents otherwise cannot afford.
There are over 400 municipal schools under South Corporation. The civic body plans to set up toy libraries in at least half of these schools by the month of January.
