Ryan International School, Sector 40, Gurgaon, received the best heritage club award 2014-15 in the special mention category. The school received a trophy and a cash prize from the Indian National School Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage (INTACH). The award recognises the work undertaken by the Ryan heritage club, the yearlong efforts, innovative activities and the social impacts these had.
There were also various events in different city schools to explore the hidden talents of their students.
St. Mark’s Senior Public School, Meera Bagh visited to Polva, Estonia, for the first cultural and educational exchange programme with the country. The delegation was led by the vice-principal and teacher in-charge.
GD Goenka Public School, Paschim Vihar, organised a health camp, ‘Health is Wealth’. A team of doctors specialising on various fields like neurosurgery, cardiology, gynaecology, ENT, orthopaedics and orthodontics, conducted a general health check-up of the staffs.
Billabong High International School, Noida held its investiture ceremony for the academic session 2015-16. The event was presided over by the school principal Sharmila Chatterji and coordinators Rooma Arora and Anu Prabhakar.
Students of Class IX and X from Amity International School, Sector 6, Vasundhara visited an exhibition themed, ‘India and the First World war-Commemorating 100 years of the Great War.’
Rosary Senior Secondary School, Kingsway Camp, organised a recognition day where students from classes VI-IX and XI were honoured for their perseverance. The ceremonial lamp was lit by the chief guest Dilbagh Singh Punia.
The Indian School organised its investiture ceremony where students from both junior and senior students were formally invested with powers and responsibilities that they have to imbibe in their future.
Ryan International School, Faridabad organised a Yoga camp on the occasion of International Yoga day in which many parents and students participated. Chief instructors Manu Dev and Sunder Kumar demonstrated various asanas.
Sri Guru Nanak Public School, Adarsh Nagar, conducted a self-defence training programme to instil confidence and self-esteem in the school girls. Around a hundred girls from classes VI-XI enrolled for the workshop.
