Saptarshi Mukherjee studied in Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan (CBSE) from Nursery to +2 level. His father is a doctor and mother a housewife, although she holds a master’s degree from Presidency. He has an unexplainable love for Physics. He has completed his bachelors from the Indian Institute of Engineering Science & Technology, Shibpur in metallurgy and materials engineering and have opted to do his masters in the same field from IIT, BHU (Varanasi). He is looking forward to complete his PhD in materials science from abroad. He has received The Telegraph You Scholars. This scholarship money will give him a head-start in his direction. He is humbled to have won this competition.
