Calorx Public School, Gandhinagar had recently organized a rally “Save Birds” during Uttarayan. 28 students from Class III to V went to Lekawada village and 26 students from class VI to VIII went to Dharampur Village, holding banners and placards that had messages on this issue. Students of the school took part in the rally to raise awareness of the dangers that flying kites poses to birds during the festival of Makar Sankranti. The School Principal also explained the importance of saving birds to the students.
