School gets roof with German help

Bharatiya Siksha Niketan School got new roof with German help. Siksha Niketan, a primary school is run by the NGO. It was a day of wish fulfilment for rural NGO Mallabpur People Rural Development. As a part of a project sponsored by the German consulate, the school received its new roof. The classrooms too have been renovated and will now be far cooler and safer than the previous ones fitted with an asbestos roof. On 13th October, Angela Grossmann, the German vice-consul in Calcutta travelled 6km from the city to meet the children, inaugurate the new school building and hand over a marble plaque,marking the event. The school is now planning to extend the school building and provide quality education to the kids and want their children to be more fluent in English.
