If there’s one thing children resent the most, then it’s a Monday morning because they go to school after the weekend. But this Monday was a little different for children who had a preferential access to the robotics exhibition at Techfest, held on the IIT-Bombay campus, as part of Times of India’s Mumbai for Kids initiative. With science and tech marvels from all over the globe on display, children had the opportunity to interact with national and international robotics developers. Amid the key attractions was the Indian Navy’s model of INS Vikramaditya and a display of its functionality with airplanes. The kids were especially interested in the dancing robots by Minirobot Corp from Korea, the 3D printed Addit Concept tool by ETH Zurich from Switzerland and a blindfold activity by Eyecane n Eyemusic from Israel. They also enjoyed the metallic 3D printing by MX3D from Amsterdam, Netherlands, and a poker-playing robot by HD robotics, Hungary.
