Having lost 20 days due to heavy downpour, schools in Chennai and surrounding districts are in a race against time to complete the syllabus, especially for Class X and XII. Tamil Nadu Nursery Primary Matriculation and CBSE Schools Association members have urged the School Education Department to postpone half yearly and revision exams as many have not been able to finish their syllabus. School Education Department said that it might be difficult to postpone exams with the state assembly elections likely in April-May. If elections are in April, the Boards might have to be completed in March.
