To ensure that all schools in rain-affected districts are safe and hygienic for students and staffs, the State education department had issued an advisory to all school heads across the state to thoroughly clean the school premises and instructed chief educational officers to obtain completion certificates for the exercise. Due to torrential downpour, the school heads are advised to take every precautionary measures to ensure no outbreak of disease. Meal centres in schools should also ensure to function properly and clean vessels thoroughly before they allow children to use them. The government also instructed schools to ensure that schools buildings are safe and not weakened due to heavy rain.
