An RSS wing has suggested that schools in metropolitan cities must run for 12 hours so that children can get time to learn more languages. The proposal was prepared by Vidya Bharati, the education wing of the RSS, which also stated that students must learn Sanskrit from middle school level so that they do not require the assistance of foreign words. The RSS wing has submitted the proposal to the HRD Ministry after the government invited suggestions for the new education policy. The RSS and its affiliates have asserted that the new policy must focus on: “Indianisation of education”. The RSS wing has proposed that a linguistic university must be opened for students who wants to master languages and linguistic skills. It has also suggested biometric attendance system and CCTV cameras in classrooms to ensure maximum attendance of teachers.
