The Director of Matriculation Schools has sent a circular to the Inspector of Matriculation Schools in all the districts in the state directing them to ensure that the admissions at the matriculation schools for the academic session 2016-17 should be done only during the month of April 2016. As per RTE Act 2009, the private schools in the state have to fill 25 percent of the seats for the students belonging to the weaker sections of the society. The government order regarding the RTE admissions have been sent to all the private schools in the state and a booklet has also been provided to them regarding RTE admissions. The officials are said to conduct surprise inspections at the school in their respective districts to ensure that the management are not filling up admissions for the session 2016-17 before April 2016. The officials, after inspection are asked to submit a report on the inspection to the Director of Matriculation Schools.
