Girls outshine boys once again when the SSLC Result 2016 were declared on Monday. The results made it clear that girls steal the show this year too across the state with their exceptional score show. All five toppers were girl in Bangalore who scored 624 and 623.

Supreetha MA, 16, was flooded with calls and well-wishers who congratulate her for her extraordinary 624 out of 625 score. Supreetha, a resident of Ashoknagar mad her parents and Bangalore proud with her exceptional marks.

“I had not expected this at all,“ said Supreetha, on her way for a television interview.“I did find the papers easy and had expected around 620, but to score 624 is like a dream come true. It is the hard work of my teachers and support from my parents.“ Supreetha wants to study science and pursue engineering in electronics and communications.

Her father Arun Kumar, said, “I am so proud of Supreetha. She was always a bright student and was worried that her papers were easier than expected. Neither she nor I expect this.”

Shwetha S, of St Sophia Convent High School, Nagarabhavi, also scored 624 marks. “I knew Shwetha was capable of these scores, but never told her as it would stress her. She has lived up to everyone’s expectations,“ said her mother, Premakala.

“I want to become an IAS officer,“ said Shwetha. “I want to take up science and later prepare for civil service.”

Many girls stood third with a score of 623, all from Bengaluru North, were also rejoicing. Pramatha P, of Poornapragnya High School, scored a massive 99.7%. “I want to pursue PCMB and join a medical institute. I hadn’t expected to score so high. It is unbelievable.”

But Meghana Patil of MES Kishore Kendra was a little dissatisfied because she had expected 624 marks. “Nevertheless, I’m happy .I plan to pursue medicine and will probably join MES KK for PU,“ she said.

Aishwarya Aithal was too elated to say a word. The student of Mother Theresa English Medium High School expected 95% but got a pleasant surprise with 99.7%. “I don’t know what to say . I am so happy with my scores, because I never expected this,“ said the architecture aspirant, who wants to take up PCMB.
