The road leading to Panchayat Union Primary School was dirty and littered with garbage. The students cleaned it up and segregated biodegradable and non-biodegradable wastes. They used plastic and glass bottles to make letter boxes, phone stands, chalk holders, flower pots and self-learning material.
The school toilets of Brighton English School were dingy and filthy since younger students did not know how to use them. The senior students decided to teach their younger schoolmates the proper way to use toilets.
Water scarcity was a problem at Indira High School as well as in the village. Students approached Jamnalal Bajaj Foundation for help in building a check dam to store water surface. They raised 10% of the total project cost and volunteered to work at the construction site.
These are some of the stories of change led by kids to bring a change not only in their society but also in schools where they stay for more than 7 hours regularly and impart knowledge.
