Pratyush Paul from Vikhe Patil Memorial School, Divyanshi Singh from Air Force School, Vimannagar, Tejas Raj, Ishaani Raj and Mayank Jayaswal from Vibgyor High, Ameya Shukla from The Bishop’s Co-Ed School, Kalyaninagar, and Ayush Sinha from The Bishop’s Co-ed School, Undri were among the winners in the Pune region abacus and mental arithmetic competition.
The contest was organized by Universal Concept Mental Arithmetic System Abacus at Balewadi Stadium. A total of 1,445 students in the 5 to 12 age group from Pune, Kolhapur, Sangli, Aurangabad and Ahmednagar participated in the contest which was divided into two segments -visual and listening. Principals from many schools were also present. An award ceremony to felicitate the winners will be held shortly.
